2025 arrives as a big year beckons
Parramatta’s biggest season in a decade is now firmly in the sights, with kick-off just over 2 months away.
The end of 2025 may have been a quiet one when it comes to signings but plenty has been happening on the training paddock and in the build up to Round 1.
Who are the round 1 wingers?
Not only will Parramatta be doing battle against the mighty Melbourne Storm to kick off the season, they’ll have to do it with a makeshift wing pairing.
While Zac Lomax has stated he wishes to be a centre, it’s hard to deny he was just about the best winger in the game throughout 2024. Fellow new recruit Josh Addo-Carr will start the year off with a suspension.
Bailey Simonsson continues to rehab from his ACL rupture and is unlikely to be available. Leaving a possible pairing of Sean Russell and Joash Papalii or Jake Tago.

Welcoming pathways families
While much of the talk about the Jason Ryles era has been on the NRL side, changes have been made to the pathways.
At the end of 2024, the club welcomed not only the new crop of Eels juniors, but brought in their families to show them the extent to which the club will be looking after the next generation of local talent.
