Eels bolster backline with Rep star
After being sacked by the Bulldogs, Josh Addo-Carr has joined the Eels on a 1 year deal with a 1 year option in the club's favour.
The former Original and Kangaroos star brings much needed speed to an Eels backline too often outgunned in 2022 and 2023.
Head coach Jason Ryles led the recruitment due to his relationship with the speedster after the Fox was at Melbourne while the new Eels mentor was an assistant coach.
Sterlo returns
Legendary Parramatta halfback Peter Sterling is now formally back in the blue and gold with the 4-time premiership winner signing on as an ambassador for the Eels Foundation.
Pathways in focus
We got a deeper look into the pathways system at the Eels with the club revealing the majority of their development head coaches now being full time.
Former players Jordan Rankin, Isaac De Gois and Josh Hodgson have all joined the pathways ranks.
Dragons legend joins
Favourite son of the St George Illawarra Dragons, Mark Gasnier, has joined the Eels as an outside backs consultant.
The former Blues and Kangaroos centre was sought out by Ryles, with the pair having a relationship dating back to their days at the Dragons.
2025 Draw released
The 2025 NRL and NRLW draw has been released.
The NRL side will open their campaign with a trip to Melbourne as they look to break Craig Bellamy’s invincible game one record.
The NRL side will also avoid a 5 day turnaround in 2025, and they will take the Raiders to the sticky heat of Darwin.
Bye bye Darwin
After more than a decade the Eels have ended their agreement with the Northern Territory government.
2025 will be the final season a home game will be played in Darwin.
Welcome back
Pre-season is in full swing and last week marked the return of the majority of the NRL squad following their mandated time off.
Only the likes of Mitchell Moses and Zac Lomax are yet to return with the Kangaroos pair not expected back until January due to their representative commitments.
