Lomax banned until 2028
Former Eels winger has settled out of court with his former club
Former Parramatta Eels winger Zac Lomax will be unable to return to the NRL until 2028 after reaching an out-of-court settlement with the club.
Lomax and his suitors, the Melbourne Storm, managed to come to an agreement that will see the flyer banned from the NRL until 2028 unless the Eels provide him with written permission.
The Storm have also agreed to pay $250,000 of Parramatta’s costs.
The outcome essentially means Parramatta’s contract release of Lomax will stand.
It leaves the former Blues and Kangaroos winger in sporting limbo as he remains unable to resume his NRL career.
Well done all at Eels management. They obviously had the Storm dead to rights and they and the NRL didn't want the evidence to come out publicly.
Hooray!! Great news!! Please Parramatta don't give him permission to play, let him serve out his time, you got the outcome we all wanted, now stick to your guns.
